Like many others who would like to hear both sides of the story, I follow your blog regularly. You are mentioning EMD and their huge involvement in referral of clients to tax havens. When I read their right of reply, I really laughed as anyone who knows the financial services sector can tell you that EMD were the closest advisory firm to Castille when RCC ruled the roost there.

EMD Advisory Limited has 4 shareholders (Jeremy Debono, Pierre Mifsud, Italo Ellul, Tonio Ellul and Stephen Balzan) and one of them is Tonio Ellul, husband of Louise Cachia Caruana, sister of RCC and Tonio’s brother Italo. Stephen Balzan resigned from director not long ag

o and set up shop in his own name. Louise is very much involved in the company.

They also owned Euris, a company that made loads of money from translation of EU related regulations…..all this at the time of RCC.

No political connections and no connections to politically exposed persons indeed.

The above post was sent in by a person who works in the financial services
