POLITICO: MALTA — OPPOSITION NATIONALISTS BENEFIT FROM PASSPORTS SCHEME: Several opposition Nationalist MPs have links to companies involved with the country’s controversial passports-for-cash scheme, despite their party opposing it. MP Francis Zammit Dimech is a partner at a law firm that represented Arton Capital, a company that sued the government for choosing Henley & Partners to design the scheme. Therese Comodini Cachia reportedly filed a judicial protest on Arton’s behalf when she was an MEP candidate, at the same time her husband Vladimir Comodini was a partner at RSM Malta, a registered agent with the scheme. Ann Fenech, the Nationalist’s president, is a partner at Fenech & Fenech, also an agent.
