Do not be taken for a ride by the bland expression and detached air that are so synonymous with the leader of the opposition, for this is a type of restrained showmanship that aims to charm the gullible into believing that he is a mild politico, and yet his track record proves otherwise.
His tribalistic approach during the PN’s last election campaign, where he painted the faces of Muscat and Gonzi in tribal colours, compounded by the way he continues to oppose every single thing proposed by government and the way he dismisses ONE journalists with that air of superiority and arrogance, while still in opposition, shows what type of bitter medicine to expect, if he ever makes it to Prime Minister. So beware!
If ever there was a mild politico, full marks go to the leader of the Labour Party with his vision of the ‘moviment’, where you don’t necessarily have to agree with Labour’s political views, for your skills and talents to be appreciated. The alliance with former PN MP, Profs. Albert Fenech, which aims to get the best medical services possible for Joe and Jane public, is just one of many cases in point that mark the positive track record of the present Maltese government.
After so many years on the receiving end, Labour could have wasted these last three years in government concocting ways to avenge all damages sustained with an eye for an eye policy, but this is not the way forward and the positive results that continue to emerge from Eurostat are proof that it is firmly set on the right track.
