Tony Santino: Conman Thika is Busuttil’s secret “spy”
Updated: Sep 21
Guest Post: Alban J Thika is a shady Albanian businessman who has become Simon Busuttil’s shadow. This flyspeck is nothing but a slimy conman.
What is pretty strange about this Albanian man (yes, Albania, the beacon country for democracy and the rule of law) who poses as some sort of communications and social media expert is being used by Busuttil to follow Labour people and “infiltrate” events to “spy on Labour”.
I can confirm at least two instances that prove this.
Before the 2013 general election, Alban J Thika tried to “work” for Labour and had meetings at the infamous Labour Party HQ fourth floor where he came up with the most bizarre campaign ideas, such as lining people in the streets holding plackards with Labour messages. No prize for guessing what Labour did with this sort of hopelessly silly “expert”. #rejected.
More recently, Alban J Thika presented himself uninvited at the CHOGM business forum dinner. As if that was not enough, he approached the CHOGM team members and said he was a Member of Parliament (he did not specify whether he was posing as MP in Malta or Albania) and demanded to be seated as a VIP. No prize for guessing what the ultra-prepared CHOGM team did with his outrageous demand. #bilguh.
One word for journalists reading this blog. There are some pertinent questions to be asked about this shady Albanian conman. Is he being paid by Busuttil? What is his role in the Nationalist Party? Is he part of the party structures? If he is not paid, was he promised government contracts if PN are elected?
#journos-here-is-one-to-watch.
For the Labour people who spot this guy in events where he shouldn’t be. Snap pictures back and send them to this blog when you see him around.
