When you are there but your mind is elswhere

By the look on his face, some pressing matter was on Toni Bezzina’s mind yesterday while sitting in the Chamber. He was there but the facial expression indicates that his mind was elsewhere. What is he worried about?

If, as claimed by him, he did nothing wrong by sending government employees to embellish a private property than he has nothing to worry about. In this case the private property is the Zurrieq PN club which he presided over before being elected to Parliament.

The other issue in this case is the false declaration which Toni Bezzina coerced workers to sign, a claim he refutes.

The Police are now investigating.

For similar allegations of abuse of power by her husband, Giovanna Debono left the Opposition benches some time ago while her husband Anthony is being prosecuted for such offences.

In this case however, Simon Busuttil is standing by Toni Bezzina.
