Comment of the Day: Elite people are not self proclaimed

This comment was sent in earlier today by someone with the pen name Trafigura: Elite people are not self-proclaimed Daphne. That is what you and many others in Malta don’t get, yet you try so hard. Being sent to a particular school in Malta does not give you that title because there is no such school here. Neither does writing in a blog against the so-called ‘hamalli’.

The real elite boast a family heritage with ongoing personal success. And of course, they don’t need talk about it. Similarly, the brightest people I’ve met never talked about how clever they are. They subtly display their success when needed, but doing so is not on their minds 24/7.

Note: Trafigura was the company owned by George Farrugia, he who bribed Enemalta officials. He was pardoned by the previous administration to turn state witness. His testimony has already been doubted twice by our Law Courts.
