Daphne has recently called the Maltese Nation uneducated because some failed to understand our Archbishop’s tweet wherein he made reference to Priapus in relation to the proposed building of tower structures.

Daphne did not have any difficulty understanding the significance of Priapus. I am convinced that she has often worshipped and adored a priapic entity or entities.

I found out Archbishop’s reference to this pagan God rather disconcerting however upon further reflection I formed the opinion that when such allusions are made, they are more often than not based upon life’s experiences.

Most of us males have and continue to have these experiences. Some revel in them and others are perhaps embarrassed by them. Some are caused by a natural attraction to the beauty represented by members of the opposite sex. I hope that this is the case.

Former monuments to Priapus have had to grow some sort of cover, in allusion one can say, to pubic hair. The example in Luqa has sprouted palm trees all round. I wonder what the Archbishop would advocate to cover the new phallic symbols being envisaged now.

The Archbishop has needlessly exposed himself (not that way) to the criticism that should emanate from the mentioning of old pagan gods and allusions to an experience best left to virile man and their consenting partners.
