The people of Great Britain have voted, get over it Daphne!

Whether you like it or not a referendum expresses the people’s will. I may not agree with what the people in the United Kingdom voted for, but their decision must be respected. Daphne Caruana Galizia cannot get over it.

Her readers are fed up and tried to point it out to her.

I understand that you are not happy with the outcome of the ‘Brexit’ referendum, however I feel that your coverage and comments on this matter are unprofessional and unwarranted. Your personal views are of no relevance to the population of the major world power that is the United Kingdom or indeed within Europe.

You appear to fail to realise that the result of the referendum was a leave decision with a majority of over 1.2 million people. To put that in perspective, it is over 3 times the total population of Malta, a country whose people you profess to be intellectually superior to.

You fail to comprehend that the majority of almost the entire population of England voted in favour of coming out. In total, over 17 million people voted to leave and you insist on insulting them and calling them stupid and uneducated. As a mature english native, I can assure you that they are not.

I would point out that all the major world leaders have stated the importance of respecting this decision of the people and yet you carry on pontificating your version of how things should be.

The expression ‘folie de grandeur’ cannot have ever been more appropriate.

I really feel that you need to surmount this matter and continue chasing down the insignificant corrupt politicians in your own country and stay away from taking on major world politics of which you display little or no understanding.

The people of Great Britain have voted. Daphne, get over it.

Maybe you could watch this movie and gain a greater understanding of some of the reasons for the english peoples decision to leave

As a citizen of the European Union, I am directly affected by yesterday’s vote and have every right to complain about the outcome and the stupidity of the English outside London and the northern cities. And in doing so, I am joining millions of others around the world.

Your decision does not affect only you – it will wreak disaster on London, which drives the whole of the UK, and it will prove catastrophic for the future of millions of young British people whose lives, dreams and ambitions you have chosen to ruin.
